Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card information. It is encrypted using the Payment Card Industry Standard Data Security (PCI-DSS). The purchase transaction data is only stored to the extent necessary to complete the purchase transaction. Once completed, the purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to PCI-DSS standards, as indicated by the PCI Security Standards Board, which is a joint effort of brands such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
